Part 1: High-Frame-Rate Projection and Multi-viewer 3D

In part 1, Dermot discusses High Frame Rates and all that it enables. Specific attention is given to our Multi-View 3D projection system, a single projector, with ultra-fast frame rates that accommodate several viewers, each being tracked and each having a view of the image that remains appropriate to their changing position. This allows the users to see and interact with each other in a truly shared collaborative manner. In addition, we discuss Digital Projection’s attention to illumination via direct RGB lasers and what that means to users and viewers.

Part 2: Modularity and RGB Laser Projectors

In part 2, Dermot discusses the simple building blocks of Digital Projection’s new Satellite Modular Laser System (Satellite MLS). The Satellite projector “Head” is fundamentally compact, quiet, light-weight and generates very little heat while consuming very little power. The Modular Laser Source is a self-contained direct RGB laser module with no external chiller, producing an impressive 10,000 lumens. Among other possibilities, multiple MLS units can be grouped to allow a single projection head to produce up to 40,000 lumens. By separating the projection “Head” from the light source and linking these system components via robust fiber-optic cables (up to 100m long), Satellite MLS allows users to custom design small footprint yet powerful displays, while providing integrators with ultimate installation flexibility, particularly where space and access are restricted.
