close

Videowalls are making strides in the residential marketplace, and we’re making it easier than ever to integrate these stunning displays into home environments with innovation like our Radiance Home video wall. We’ll help you create a powerful sales pitch, but ultimately, it’s up to you to close the deal. The best approach?

Sell it on the WOW factor. End users love the initial impact of big and bright and colorful. Then close it with the flexibility. Images look amazing in a dim room, so be sure to create a low setting when configuring a video wall.

Assign another setting for watching sports with the room lights on. Last but not least, adjust the settings of the video wall to display art or cool graphics. It’s an attention grabber for all visitors. We always try to get the customer to IMAGINE this huge display being the first thing their guests see when they visit. We like to ask what would you put on this screen if your best friend were coming over? Once they imagine it in their home, they have to have it.

Partnering with manufacturers with video wall experts on hand can provide the guidance to ensure a flawless installation through every step of the project. Also, the dealer must strive for simplicity and reliability in the user interface. A video wall is perceived as a “BIG TV” and therefore should be easy to operate.

Break into Higher-Ed Markets with Our LED Videowalls

In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, digital transformation is essential for colleges and universities to remain competitive and innovative. Innovation in large-format displays will impact this technological transformation, fostering greater collaboration, engagement, and connectivity among students and administration. Scalable, customizable multi-functional, and integration-friendly, their versatility caters to diverse applications on campus.

Computers, laptops, and cloud-based streaming devices can be connected, enabling an LED videowall to perform just as well as an interactive display in classrooms as a wayfinding monitor in outdoor spaces. They can present high-res streaming content in campus auditoriums, digital art in administrative buildings, multi-window video conference sessions in classrooms and corporate offices, and dynamic messaging for upcoming events, weather reports, news items, sports scores, etc.

Another good reason to pitch videowalls to higher-ed institutions? Longevity. Colleges and universities typically renovate every 10 years or so, which is well within the lifespan of an LED videowall. During that time, an LED videowall requires minimal maintenance. So, although they are a sizeable investment initially, over the long run they are quite economical.

Land Bigger Jobs by Offering LED and Projection

We’re One of Few Manufacturers to Provide Both Solutions

Why limit your revenue potential by specializing in either projection systems or LED displays? By offering both, you expand your reach into new lucrative markets and can better serve your customers. And remember, in many cases, it won’t be an either/or proposition.

An MDU developer, for example, might benefit from an LED video wall in their design center to showcase to potential buyers the property’s various amenities and also a projection system in the community center for weekly movie nights. A luxury hotel, meanwhile, might want LED displays for the lobby, restaurant, lounge, and outdoor areas, but for the auditorium a state-of-the-art projector and screen.

Even owners of high-end residences recognize the modern vibe LED panels lend to living rooms and the authentic, cinematic flair a projection system bestows on their dedicated home theater.

By building your AV business around legacy projection and new-generation digital displays and aligning with a manufacturer like Digital Projection who can support each approach with turnkey design, configuration, and installation, you’ll be well prepared to provide your customers with the best viewing experience possible, whatever that may entail. We can help narrow down your imaging choices and arrange for additional tech and design service.

Engaging, entertaining, versatile, and effective at conveying a plethora of information and enhancing brand visibility, not to mention packed technological advantages over other large-format display solutions, videowalls are becoming the de facto standard for outdoor imaging. According to Straits Research, the global outdoor LED display market size was valued at USD 7.42 billion in 2021. It is expected to reach USD 17.89 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 9.2% during the forecast period (2022–2030).

Ensure your outdoor videowall projects are rock solid by following these 6 steps:

  1. Rather than relying on the technology of an LED videowall to maintain a bright, crisp image in sunny conditions, take steps to position the videowall to avoid the sun. Scope out the space and note how the position and intensity of the sun changes throughout the day. Stay away from those super-sunny areas if you can.
  2. Because outdoor areas fluctuate from intensely bright to completely dark, it’s important for an LED videowall to adjust its brightness levels accordingly. Our integrated light sensors automate this process. The shift happens gradually, so there’s no abrupt change in the picture.
  3. LED videowalls intended for outdoor use carry an IP65 rating, which means all materials have been engineered, designed, and manufactured to withstand extreme temperatures, and strong wind, snow and heavy rainfall.
  4. You have two choices when it comes to gaining access to a videowall’s internal components and circuitry: the front of the display or the back. The difference may seem like a minor detail, but in outdoor applications it can make or break the time and energy required to service the technology. Determine which configuration will be most convenient for your technicians based on the application. For example, if the videowall will be used in an outdoor entertainment venue, rear access allows techs to swap panels and adjust settings quickly and covertly without disrupting the show. Back up this plan with redundant power supplies and video feeds. The show must go on, after all!
  5. Pick a pixel pitch suitable for the viewing distance AND the content type. In outdoor settings, viewing distances vary widely, from a few feet to several hundred feet. Similarly, the images displayed on an LED videowall can range from static baseball stats to moving digital art. A 2.9 pixel pitch display is a good baseline for non-critical viewing from long distances like those stats or advertisements on a billboard. As applications for LED videowalls expand into other markets, however, you can now find LED panels with much smaller, finer pixel pitches. A 1.2 pixel pitch produces the clear, pin-sharp images required for outdoor performance centers, concert venues, galleries and other environments where keeping audiences highly entertained and engaged is imperative as well as applications where users are viewing content close-up.
  6. With so many variables to consider, specifying, designing, configuring, and installing an LED videowall outside can prove a complex exercise. If you’re new to the business, there’s no need to become an expert overnight or go it alone. Digital Projection offers comprehensive service and support from a team of LED experts.  This can streamline every part of an LED videowall project, leaving more time for you to direct and manage the workflow, interface with your customers, and focus on other areas of the job.

Minister speaks in front of LED displays in house of worship

Holiday display tips for Houses of Worship

Get Ready for the Holidays with Scalable Imaging Solutions

Houses of worship have creative ideas for their annual productions and may need your expertise. Now is the perfect time to reach out to your current HOW clients to explore any updates to their AV systems that could enhance the quality and enjoyment of their productions—without overburdening their staff or budget. Scaling video equipment for a holiday production requires a careful balance between performance and practicality.

Here are a few pointers to help you and your HOW customers find the ideal middle ground:

1. Identify the Scope: Seasonal or Permanent?
Will the video system be used solely for the holidays or year-round? If it’s the latter, propose the flexibility and versatility of a projection system. During the holidays, this multipurpose option can project bright, vivid images of the choir onto a large standalone screen; throughout the year, it can display announcements on a smaller screen positioned above the altar. The projector’s position, lens, and screens can be adjusted to suit any occasion. For a singular holiday production, a temporary setup may be easier for HOW’s largely volunteer staff to manage.

2. Determine the Scale: Small and Simple or Large and Complex?
Will the video display be the centerpiece of the stage or a backdrop to complement a live performance with static images? Will performers stand in front of the screen? Where will the audience be seated? Will the production require one large screen or multiple displays? Answers to these questions, along with a clearly defined budget and timeframe, will help you gauge the best imaging technology (projection or LED display), the number of displays and/or projectors required, the size and composition of the imaging surface, and other details.

3. Consider the ROI: Rent or Own?
A quality projection system or LED video wall will undoubtedly brighten holiday production, but for some HOWs, renting the equipment may be a better option. Plus, by allowing your customers to try before they buy you relieve the stress of executing a system on a short timeframe and increase your chances of a sale later on.

Our white-glove design team is here to support you through every step of a project!
